'Dreaming Of Chanel' Book Launch

My very good friend Charlotte Smith has given me the opportunity to do my very first fashion shoot (last year Nov 2010) ! Thank you Charlotte if you're passing by :)

Fantastic opportunity where I have learned few things that day and partly about some technical side of photography (with lighting, flash control ect.... with low light in a room with high ceiling ... still a learning curve but i really enjoyed this !  and photographing those beautiful models in vintage style is such a delight !
This was for Charlotte's 2nd book launch 'Dreaming of Chanel' ...
'Dreaming of Chanel' and 'Dreaming of Dior' are available in all retails stores around Australia

For the story: 'Charlotte Smith has lived life to the full in London, Paris and New York before falling in love with Australia and discovering she had inherited a priceless vintage clothing collection from her American Quaker Godmother, Doris Darnell.  Then the boxes started arriving, with more than 3000 pieces dating from 1790 to 1995, from Dior and Chanel originals to a dainty pioneer dress.
But when she unearthed her godmother's book of stories, the true value of what she had been bequeathed hit home.
This wasn't merely a collection of beautiful things, it was a collection of life.  Women's lives.  Tiny snapshots of our joys and disappointments, our entrances and exits, triumphant and tragic.

This is a book for any woman who knows a dress can hold a lifetime of memories.'

For this event, the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba was the perfect setting for it...

Once I get a bit of free time, I will put Olivia's sepia photo on my website with a bit of a story about it and a link to your blog.

... et ton amie Charlotte a hérité d'un véritable musée, c'est une histoire incroyable et très belle !
