Blue Mountains Photographer: 'Opening of AfterFive Fashion with the Darnell Collection'

Early last month, I've been invited to the official opening of the 'After Five', Fashion from the Darnell Collection at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery & Art Centre (Gymea NSW).  Gorgeous display of vintage dresses from Christian Dior to John Galiano and more, simply superbe ! 
(Of course, couldn't help myself, took some shots :).  If you get there, make sure to get to their shop after browsing, you can also get yourself a mini book of the collection (with photos mostly from: Brigitte Grant Photography ! Such a thrill for me to see my work in prints again ! 
The exhibition is open until 12 May.

Blue Mountains Photographer: 'B&W portrait'

Hi there...

Went down to the city last month and did a mini shoot...

Made the most of the simple and basic location and  ... love the result !

I chose to edit the images in B&W so to accentuate the lines and give a bit of texture to them...
What do you think ?

(Je suis allee sur Sydney le mois dernier et ai fait un mini shoot.

J'ai profite' du coin tres simple et pourtant... j'adore l'effet donne' !

(J'ai decide' de les editer en N&B pour accentuer les lignes et donner un peu de texture a l'image...)

Blue Mountains Photographer 'Miss Burlesque Australia NSW 2013'

I had the opportunity early this month to capture Miss Burlesque Australia and 

can I tell you something?: 'Wow !' 

I  love  capturing  performers  (whether burlesque/cabaret, singers or dancers)...challenging at times because mostly those are captured in low light but for me...
...it is quite something ! It's far from just clicking on the button but rather loving/enjoying what I see
through my lens and transmitting my feelings through my photos...
The beauty of those gorgeous performers, the body movements ect... and I also do feel there is more than just strutting their stuffs... those performers are also so talented and full of creativity !

Whether in creating their gorgeous costumes but also a lot of work is put into each of their performances .... just clever and brilliant !
Well done everyone and also to Cassandra Jane producer of Miss Burlesque Australia !

J'ai eut l'occasion en debut de ce mois de capturer Miss Burlesque Australia et puis-je
me permettre de vous dire quelque chose ? c'etait du 'Wow !!'
J'adore prendre en photos ce genre et style de photo (que ce soit burlesque/cabaret, chanteurs ou des scenes de danse)... c'est par moment un challenge surtout en lumiere tamise'e mais pour moi...
vraiment quelque chose ! Loin de juste appuyer sur son bouton mais c'est plutot d'apprecier ce que je  voit dans mon objectif et de le transmettre  a travers mes photos.
Non seulement la beaute' de ces artistes, le mouvement du corps ect... et je trouve que ce n'est pas seulement de montrer ci et ca... mais ces artistes sont aussi tres talentueux et tres creatifs !
Voyez par les costumes... tout les details y sont meme a voir leur demonstrations, tres ingenieux !

Un grand bravo  aussi a  Cassandra Jane la productrice de Miss Burlesque Australia!

Blue Mountains Photographer: 'Photo on CD cover'

Hi there...

This is quite exciting for me !! One of my photo taken during a promo-shoot for the 

Three Sisters Katoomba (gorgeous and talented girls who sing quirky pieces and play the Uke) has been used on the cover of their CD yayyy !!!  Brilliant dont you think ??!!

Blue Mountains Photographer: 'Street-Art'

This is another personal project of mine:  One day to pack my bag and gears and shoot some Street-Arts around Australia.
Well...not there yet and have seen already a lot of magazines or books around with magnificent Street-Arts but I still want to add if possible a subject to it...

Anyway, here is my latest... I considered myself so lucky to have finally shot those, they closed-off the area for demolition/work in progress for a new shopping area, but I bumped into someone who allowed me to get in (only short time) so...  here are some photos of the shoot ...

(loved the effect of flash giving shadows to it)

Blue Mountains Photographer: 'Backstage with Johnny Balance'

This is a personal project/album that I wanted to start some time ago but never got the chance to get organised with it but... yayyy !  Finally getting started !

Backstage/Behind the scene photos of the talented Johnny Balance at the Clarendon Guesthouse (Katoomba NSW) 'The Rocky Horror Show'...  Johnny's got so much talent and is such a natural at this ... so if you ever have a chance to see him perform, don't miss it ! Highly recommendable !!
